Finally, it is Spring and the sun is shining! Naturally, that means it’s time to pull out the short sleeves and…sunscreen! One of our biggest mistakes is not using proper sun protection. It’s the biggest step you can take to prevent aging and skin cancer. Here’s a sunscreen essentials checklist –
Broad-spectrum. This is one of the most important aspects of a sunscreen. Broad-spectrum simply means that it protects against both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays cause aging and UVB rays cause burning.
Reapply. For all day protection, it’s essential to reapply sunscreen. It won’t last all day through sweat

Spring has finally arrived, unlike those lucky enough to live in LA and enjoy sunshine and mild temperatures since January, we New Yorkers are just now experiencing highs in the 50s. Last month I found myself back to the Windy City, and it definitely lived up to its name. I traded one snowy tundra for another, but the one thing I gained was that Midwestern sunny disposition. Despite their smiles, Chicagoans as a whole are 100% completely over this winter. Which is a mentality, we New Yorkers, gladly share.
